the Author
Reverend Manuel
Baerga is the Executive Director of Teen Challenge of Maryland, a non-profit
ministry that helps people with life-controlling problems. He is an ordained
minister and a frequent speaker in jails, churches, schools, and at conventions.
Reverend Baerga has dedicated his life for the past 13 years to rescuing
those trapped by alcohol and drug addiction. He and his wife, Laura, are
parents of three children.
Currently, Reverend
Baerga serves as co-chairperson for the Prince George's Country F.E.M.A.
Board of Directors. Until recently he served as a member of the Maryland
Mental Health Advisory Committee. He served as a consultant assisting the
Prince George's County Public Schools Special Media Project with the production
of a seven-part video series on drug prevention entitled Right Turn Only.
Reverend Baerga was
honored by former Maryland Governor William Donald Schaeffer as one of
Maryland's most distinguished Hispanic leaders. He formerly served as President
of the Hispanic Council of Ministers of the greater Washington DC metropolitan
area. He pioneered a church in Langley Park, Maryland.
Manuel Baerga's life
